300 million later

And we have roughly the same government we had going into the election. There's a lot of Monday morning quarterbacking going on right...primarily those making plans to replace Stephane Dion, but should Harper really consider this a victory? He gained almost nothing from this election and the Liberals were not well-positioned going into it. What would the outcome be if they had been able to get themselves into game shape a bit sooner?

I think the Conservative party needs to take a long look at how they are currently perceived and possibly look at new leadership before they go and waste this moment. They are currently enjoying a nice vote split on the "left" -- the kind that kept Cretien in during those Reform/Alliance years. At least Cretien actually brought in a majority.
